Welcome to my father's website.

My father, Sid Salinger, Jr., loved the process of researching family history. For years before the internet, his research involved visiting cemeteries, requesting copies of death and marriage certificates, and spending countless hours in libraries.

Once the internet became available, his research methods changed, but his enthusiasm never faded. He passed away in 2013, just before DNA testing became widely available and affordable. The additional discoveries he might have made through modern tools are truly unimaginable.

Today I maintain this website in his memory. New technologies—including artificial intelligence—have helped me keep his work available online and make occasional updates to the site.

In Sid's own words:

The information on this site has been drawn from family members, their memories, and publicly accessible databases. I will gladly make alterations as and when any mistakes or inaccuracies are brought to my attention."
